Tytus, Romek and A’Tomek are back! A full-length animated film based on the cult comic book is being created

Professor T. Alent discovers her origins on the Nonsense Islands, but is kidnapped by the ruthless Shrink Y. Bull. The antagonist turns nonsense into a commodity, which leads to a global crisis of imagination. Tytus, Romek and A’Tomek set off in a van on a dangerous rescue mission to a world ruled by the logic of the absurd.

Screenwriter Rafał Skarżycki emphasizes that the film will be a story about the strength of friendship despite differencesthere will also be some characteristic humor. Visually, the project is inspired by the 20th century art of illustration – the creators focus on geometric forms, vivid colors and expressive framing.

Director Kristoffer Rus, known for the “Too Big for Fairy Tales” series, announces that animation will allow him to create situations on screen that would be impossible to achieve in a live-action film, while maintaining emotions and sincerity. Producer Ewelina Gordziejuk hopes that the film will connect generations – grandparents, parents and children.

EGoFILM is in the process of raising funds for the implementation of the project, which has already received support from the Polish Film Institute at the development stage. The release date has not been revealed. The film is scheduled to last 75 minutes, and its promotion began with a 38-second teaser published on May 4.

The comic book series “Tytus, Romek i A’Tomek” debuted in 1957 in “Świat Młodych”. It was published until 2021. Its heroes are two boys – Romek and A’Tomek – and the chimpanzee Tytus.
