CMA CGM Group, a leading global provider of maritime, land, air and logistics solutions, announced on July 1, 2026, an agreement to acquire FedEx Supply Chain, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., at an enterprise value of USD 1.4 billion. The acquisition, expected to close in 2026, will nearly triple the scale of CEVA Logistics, a CMA CGM Group subsidiary, in the contract logistics business in North America.
The acquisition strengthens CMA CGM Group’s more than 25-year commitment and investment in the U.S. supply chain and accelerates its strategy of providing end-to-end end-to-end logistics solutions. Thanks to the integration of FedEx Supply Chain assets and nearly 10,000 employees, CEVA Logistics will become one of the leading contract logistics providers in North America. The combined organization will manage approximately 150 warehouses, expanding CEVA Logistics’ presence in North America to a total of 20,000. employees and over 240 locations.
Once the CMA transaction is finalized, CGM and FedEx also intend to enter into multi-year commercial agreements for air and sea freight. CMA CGM will become FedEx’s preferred ocean carrier and will provide ocean freight and transportation services under a non-exclusive agreement. The companies will also collaborate on selected air freight capacity solutions to streamline global networks to increase aircraft utilization and provide flexible capacity on long-haul routes.

Finalization of the transaction and required consents
The transaction is expected to close in 2026, subject to required regulatory approvals. The air and sea freight agreements will be implemented in phases between now and 2028. CMA CGM Group’s financial advisors are Morgan Stanley and Messier & Associés, and Cleary Gottlieb is its legal advisor. JPMorgan is FedEx’s financial advisor and Baker McKenzie is its legal advisor.
