Film competitions, special screenings, outdoor cinema, education, industry section, meetings with recognizable creators, Radom June ’76 and events dedicated to Andrzej Wajda – this is what this year’s film summer in Radom promises to be. The FILMFORUM Association announces the program of the 19th International Film Meetings KAMERALNE LATO and the 5th edition of FREEDOM Film Festival, which will take place on July 5–11, 2026.
This is not a festival that ends after you leave the show. CHAMBER SUMMER will turn Radom into a week-long cinema festival: with film competitions, outdoor screenings, meetings with creators, debates, workshops, industry pitching and events that draw the audience into the heart of the city. The 2026 edition has everything a strong summer festival needs: young cinema, well-known names and the energy of an event worth adding to your summer calendar.
Cinema Week in Radom: from the official inauguration to the finale with Wajda
The 19th CHAMBER SUMMER will begin on Sunday, July 5, with the official inauguration in the Deskur Tenement House. On the same day, the festival will enter the city space: after the opening ceremony, a parade with the participation of the Orchestra of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Katowice will move from the Market Square to the concert hall in the park. Competitions day by day: HYDE PARK, WYSOKIE LOTY and FREEDOM Film Festival
The core of the film program remains competitions, which in this year’s edition form an intensive, multi-day path: from uncompromising independent cinema, through the works of young authors, to Polish and international short films presented as part of the FREEDOM Film Festival.
It will be the first to take place HYDE PARK Jet Film Competitionscheduled for Monday, July 6, at the PaTaThai restaurant. He will lead the meeting Michal Grosiak. HYDE PARK remains one of the craziest sections of CHAMBER SUMMER, a place where the audience not only watches films, but also decides on the winner.
On Tuesday, July 7, the Masovian Center for Contemporary Art ELEKTROWNIA will take place National Youth Film Competition WYSOKIE LOTYaddressed to young talents. The films will be shown in two screening blocks, and the program will also include meetings with the creators and competition discussions with the participation of the jury. He will preside over it Olaf Lubaszenko. The jury also included: Małgorzata Imielska, Grzegorz Jach and Anna Mucha.
On Wednesday and Thursday, July 8 and 9, the audience will see films presented as part of the festival National Short Film Competition FREEDOM Film Festival. The screenings will take place at the Masovian Center for Contemporary Art ELEKTROWNIA, and after the screenings there will be meetings with filmmakers led by Marta Karnkowska.
This will close the competition part of the program International Short Film Competition FREEDOM Film Festivalscheduled for Friday, July 10. Two blocks will feature productions from Poland, the Czech Republic, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Austria, France, Estonia, the United States, China, Lebanon and Australia. This year’s edition strongly emphasizes meetings with people known to the Polish audience. Within the cycle PROFESSIONAL ACADEMY talks are scheduled with Olaf Lubaszenko, Kordian Kądziela and Piotr Cyrwus and Kamila Urzędowska. Education and the young film industry
For years, KAMERALNE LATO has combined the festival program with practical film education and preventive activities. That’s his character Masovian Social Prevention Program ABC WORK WITH CAMERA, a program in which film becomes a tool for working with young people, talking about contemporary challenges and social prevention. This part includes workshops, meetings and debates devoted to the role of cinema in education and building the language of dialogue. The educational dimension of the festival will be complemented by an international project TOGETHER – ToGetTherecarried out with the participation of young people from Poland, Germany, Hungary and Italy.
CHAMBER SUMMER does not stop at the workshop stage, it leads young artists further, towards professional cinema. Industry programs serve this purpose SCRIPTMARKET.PRO and SCRIPTMARKET.EU. The agenda included, among others: talks on work standards in the audiovisual sector, film school debate, industry networking, pitching preparation workshops, pitching of film and script projects, co-production market and study visits FILM RADOMi.e. visiting locations with the greatest film potential in the city.
Accessibility, attractions for children and a cinema in the city space
The program also includes an accessibility theme. Cycle SHORT AND ACCESSIBLE will include a presentation of the report and a conversation about good practices under the slogan “Accessible Film Festival” with the participation of Marta Drankiewicz, Anna Czarkowska and Marta Karnkowska. As part of the series, the FILMFORUM Association invites the youngest viewers to the screening of a set of animated films O!PLANOCKA 2026. It will be an opportunity to learn about the most interesting Polish short animations in a sensory-friendly formula, adapted to the needs of young audiences.
A film screening is also planned for children “Too Big for Fairy Tales 3” Kristoffer Rus combined with workshops.
The city remains the rightful hero of this year’s edition. The festival will take place at the POWER PLANT, the Deskur Tenement House, the ZHP Radom-Miasto Troop, the PaTaThai restaurant, at Fountains on Żeromskiego Street, and in the park. T.
