The third edition of Silesia Ambassador Day took place in Wisła – a meeting integrating the scientific, business and meetings industry communities around the development of congress tourism in Silesia. This year’s event was organized at the Crystal Mountain Hotel, one of the most important conference facilities in the region.
The organizers from Silesia Convention Bureau emphasized the growing importance of cooperation between science, business and the MICE sector for the further development of the region. During the meeting, the potential of Cieszyn Silesia and the Beskids in organizing international events was also presented.
One of the most important points of the program was the presentation of the planned expansion of Crystal Mountain. As announced by Łukasz Mączka, sales and marketing director of the facility, after the opening of the new conference center in 2028, the hotel will have one of the largest conference spaces in southern Poland. The new infrastructure will include a hall with an area of 1,800 sq m. and a foyer of 900 sq m.
Aneta Książek from the Poland Convention Bureau POT also participated in the event and presented possibilities of supporting event organizers and programs developing congress tourism in Poland.
Agnieszka Szymerowska, president of the Association of Conferences and Congresses in Poland, spoke about the new pilot program “Young Congress Ambassador”. The program is intended to support young scientists and encourage them to organize international conferences and congresses.
Meeting participants also had the opportunity to see the offer of the Crystal Mountain hotel and visit the Skolnity observation tower. The organizers emphasize that the event was an important platform for exchanging experiences and building relationships in the regional meeting industry environment.
