Revolution in the Lublin Voivodeship. There are funds for the renovation of cultural and tourist facilities

During a press conference in Lublin, the vice-marshal of the voivodeship, Piotr Breś, said that the support covers 22 projects. According to PAP, their implementation will be funded by nearly PLN 159 million from the European Funds for Lublin Province 2021-2027 program and over PLN 19 million from the state budget.

– Today, the urban revitalization program covers eight cities, four counties and various institutions. For PLN 209 million, 29 cultural and social facilities and 54 infrastructure facilities will be modernized, said Breś.

Who received funding in the Lublin Province?

According to the Marshal’s Office, the list of beneficiaries includes the following cities: Lublin, Chełm, Świdnik, Kraśnik, Biała Podlaska, Międzyrzec Podlaski, Radzyń Podlaski and Tomaszów Lubelski. Support was also received by the counties of Lubartów, Puławy, Lublin and Łuków, as well as, among others, fire brigade units, social organizations and church entities.

The beneficiaries also include the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Lublin, the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Radzyń Podlaski,

Housing Cooperative in Lubartów, Food Bank Foundation in Lublin, Lublin Society of Friends of the Sick, Good Samaritan Hospice, Addiction Treatment Center, Independent Public Health Care Center, Holy Trinity Evangelical-Augsburg Parish, Discalced Carmelite Monastery in Lublin.

In many places, work will start this year

Deputy Mayor of Lublin, Tomasz Fulara, announced that the city received over PLN 7.6 million in EU support. The money is to finance, among others: modernization of the Parish Square along with securing the walls of the former parish church, reconstruction of Fish Square, reconstruction of ul. Grodzka and adapting it to the needs of people with special needs, as well as the construction of monitoring, new plantings and lighting.

According to the announcement, works in the Old Town in Lublin will start this year, will be carried out in stages and will be completed in 2027.

– Due to its historical nature, we must assume that there may be some changes. However, we want to carry out the work itself in periods that least disrupt the functioning of residents and visitors, Fulara said.

A total of EUR 2.4 billion is to be allocated to the entire region

In Lublin, the Evangelical Lutheran Parish received nearly PLN 3.8 million in funding. The project includes, among others: educational and exhibition paths, fencing of the cemetery, church and rectory, lighting and plantings. In turn, the Discalced Carmelite Monastery at ul. Świętoduska obtained almost PLN 6.8 million for the renovation of historic buildings.

The Świdnik Municipality will allocate nearly PLN 10 million in funding for the expansion of the library at ul. Wyszyński. In turn, the city of Tomaszów Lubelski received over PLN 15 million, including: for the renovation of a former tea house and the creation of an entrepreneurship support center.

According to PAP data, the region will receive a total of approximately EUR 2.4 billion from the European Funds for Lublin Province 2021-2027 program. Of this amount, EUR 1.7 billion comes from the European Regional Development Fund and EUR 700 million from the European Social Fund Plus.
