A double-decker train to the Baltic Sea. The cheap connection – Travel Wprost – returns

Pociąg Kolei Mazowieckich

This year we will reach the seaside again by Koleje Mazowieckie trains. Journeys from Warsaw to Ustka will be carried out by double-decker, modern trains. Passengers will certainly be pleased by the fact that trips to the Baltic Sea are planned every day, including weekends and holidays. The “Słoneczny” ride is a budget alternative to Intercity and Pendolino connections – travelers are attracted by, among others: low ticket prices and no need to reserve seats.

Double-decker train “Słoneczny” to the sea

The ninth edition of the “Słoneczny” rides will begin soon. Every year, the interest in connections to the sea provided by Koleje Mazowieckie exceeds the wildest expectations. What makes this train so successful? Firstly, it is not necessary to reserve seats. This inconvenience can be a big advantage in practice, especially if we buy seats at the last minute and they are already sold out by other carriers. Passengers are also attracted by attractive prices. Last season, normal ticket prices were PLN 60 for trips from Warsaw to Tricity or PLN 75 for trips further to Ustka.

Pendolino is definitely faster

Along with cheaper seasonal “Słoneczny” connections, this year there will also be a more comfortable option of traveling to the seaside with Pendolino trains. EIP trains will run to Ustka from Bielsko-Biała, stopping, among others, at: in Katowice, Warsaw and Tricity. The shortest travel time from Warsaw to Ustka is approximately 5 hours.

The Mazowieckie Railways train needs as much as an hour more to cover this route. The journeys start at the Warszawa Zachodnia station after 06:00, and passengers reach Ustka shortly after 12:00. “In turn, on the Ustka-Warsaw route, it will depart Ustka around 12:50, and its arrival in Warsaw Zachodnia is planned before 7:00 p.m.,” we read on the Intercity website.
