It might seem that visiting the capital is a stereotypical idea for tourists. Fortunately, you can also go to Warsaw to see it from a completely different perspective than the beaten path of school trips. Klaudiusz Michalec recommends visiting this city in the footsteps of the heroes of the greatest films, Polish and foreign.

A unique idea for a trip to Warsaw is to look at it through a film lens.

You can walk along the tracks on Kasprzaka and Smocza streets, where you will experience the same route as Bohdan Łazuka in “I don’t like Monday” (1971). On Krasińscy Square you will see the Warsaw Uprising Monument, next to which the hero of the Oscar-winning “True Pain” (2024) posed. The main character in “The Pianist” (2002) was walking down Kozia Street to a café. This film also takes place on Mała Street in Praga, which became the location of the iconic scene with the distraught Szpilman in the deserted ghetto.

In the episode “In Poland for Weekend Extra”, Klaudiusz Michalec presented locations in Warsaw that appeared in famous film productions. In addition, he took the audience to the Feature and Documentary Film Studio, which is the “mecca” of Warsaw cinematography.
