Menschenmassen auf den Straßen der europäischen Hauptstadt. An manchen Stellen kommt man kaum durch.

The European island attracts Poles. It’s about Sicily and its capital – Palermo. The streets are difficult to walk in some places, and it is most crowded around the famous cathedral, at the markets and, of course, the beaches in the area.

It is normal for crowds of tourists to gather on the beaches during the holiday season. The ones near Palermo in Sicily fill up early in the morning. But tourists don’t come there just to sunbathe. Popular tourist attractions are under siege.

One of the greatest attractions of the Sicilian city is the cathedral. Crowds of travelers gather in front of it. Among them, you can hear English, German and even Polish. There are also travelers from Asian countries, including the Middle East. Tourists walk in front of the temple, built by order of the Archbishop of Palermo Gualtierro Offamiliow in 1069-1190. There are also plenty of crowds inside and… on the roof. You can enter there for 7 euros per person, or about PLN 30.

The local fairs are even more crowded. These are best visited between: 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. That’s when most things happen. The Italian temperament makes itself felt and the sellers shout to attract customers. For only 1 euro you can, for example, buy fresh mozzarella or a cup of fruit, and for 2 euros you can buy an Aperol spritz drink.
